A patient room groups communication about a patient. Open it from Chats. The room's details can include patient information, participants and files according to your access.

What is the difference between Care team and Family chat?

Care team chat is for internal staff communication. Family chat is the patient/family-facing conversation. If you have the visibility permission, use the room's conversation switch to choose the audience before writing. Check the conversation label before sending.

Why can't I switch to Family chat?

The switch requires permission to manage chat visibility. Without it, staff use Care team chat. Ask your administrator to check the permission if your work requires family communication.

Can I see the care team's internal messages?

No. Patient and family users use the Family conversation. Internal Care team messages are a separate audience.

Why is my patient room missing?

Your patient account must be linked to the patient record. Check the signed-in account and organization, then ask the organization to verify the link and the patient's current access status.

Why can't I open my family member's room?

Your account must be linked to that patient as a family member in the applicable company. Ask the organization to verify or restore the family link. A previous invitation alone does not override current access checks.

I can see a patient but can't open their room. Why?

Patient-list access and room access are different. The app checks staff assignment to that patient, company scope and, for admins, location scope. Ask an authorized manager to check your assignment; a management role alone does not guarantee room access.

Why did a reply fail after I changed the conversation audience?

A reply must belong to the same audience as the message you are sending. Return to the original conversation or cancel the reply and write a new message for the intended audience. Do not copy internal information into Family chat by mistake.

Where are patient-room files and participants?

Open the room's details from its header, then choose Files or Participants. Only information available to your account should be shown. If the room is no longer accessible, its files may no longer open either.
